Share links straight to byepaywall

byepaywall works in any phone browser. With these extras, you can send an article to it from almost any app in a couple of taps.

iPhone and iPad

Add the byepaywall Shortcut. It puts byepaywall in your Share menu in Safari, News and most other apps.

  1. Tap Get the Shortcut, then Add Shortcut.
  2. On any article, tap Share, then byepaywall.
  3. byepaywall opens with the link filled in. Pick a service.

The Shortcut passes the link in the part of the address after the #, which never reaches our server.

Want an icon too? In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Android

Install byepaywall as an app. It then shows up in your Share menu, in Chrome and other apps.

  1. Open byepaywall.com in Chrome and tap Install the app. No button? Use Add to Home screen in Chrome’s menu.
  2. On any article, tap Share, then byepaywall.
  3. The app opens with the link filled in. Pick a service.

Shared links are handled on your phone, so they don’t reach our server.
